One of Australia's most endearing singer songwriters, Simon Marks will be bringing his latest work "Big River, Little Stories" to the Wesley Anne and the BIG CITY from his home on the banks of the Murray River Saturday 7th October.
Recently moving to the east coast of Australia (rural Victoria) Marks has been busying touring and finishing up his latest release reuniting with some of the country's finest musicians including Syd Green (19-Twenty) Ben Franz (The Waifs) and long time collaborators Thomas Mitchell and Sylvie Millard, who will join him for this special intimate show. From this latest work 'Big River, Little Stories' both the second single “WALLY” (The Mick Thomas Song) and the first single “MISFIT” have received signifigant airplay from ABC Radio and Indie stations Australia wide.
Marks has toured the globe and the country intensively over the last decade and in that shares with his loyal listeners a saddlebag of stories about life, love and loss. Sometimes sad, sometimes funny, but always captivating, Simon remains one of Australia's most remarkable storytellers with his live shows a true joy to be part of which need to be experienced at least once in your lifetime.
