Or $15 on the door
Scott Boyd returns with the all too appropriate follow up single ‘I Will Wait’. After taking some time out from music in the latter part of 2015 to complete his training with the Australian Army Reserves, Scott is finally back and sharing the second single off his sophomore EP, Unbreakable.
Upon its release, Unbreakable was met with positive reviews and reached #5 on the iTunes singer/songwriter charts. The release saw Scott tour as a support for Taylor Henderson and was also personally invited to tour with Darren Middleton from Powderfinger.
Produced by Daniel Kelaart (Simple Plan, The Paper Kites), ’I Will Wait’ is a hopeful sounding ballad, which perfectly captures the feeling of loss. As Scott tells it: “'I Will Wait’ is probably one of the most meaningful songs on the record for me. I wrote the song after I unfortunately experienced the loss of someone close to me a few years back, and in a way writing the song helped me deal with that. The song is about that experience of losing someone you were very close with, and how even though they might be gone, a part of them will always stay with you and live on with the people whose lives they touched.”
Catch Scott Boyd performing live at The Wesley Anne on the 13th of January. Joining him will be brand new acoustic artist Heart On Sleeve – who will also be launching his new single and playing his debut show on the night.
