Soulful and honest, STAV (Stav Shaul) writes thoughtful, uplifting songs in English, French and Hebrew with bursts of innovative rhythmic fire. Folk, jazz and a hint of something else, she has a compelling ability to tell a story in song. Tears and laughter are the main ingredients in the songwriting process. An expressive voice and a natural affinity for guitar, live performance brings this songwriter's introspection, playfulness and raw passion to life.
Celebrating the release of debut album 'The Horizon Line' in 2016, she toured Australia’s East-Coast with her 4-piece band from Melbourne to the Bello Winter Music Festival. The 9-track album explores her experience as a person between cultures. This year has seen her launching into the international scene as a solo artist, performing in Barcelona, France, Jordan and Israel, as well as in Melbourne where she is currently based.
