James Ellis and the Jealous Guys is a country / Americana band from Melbourne, Australia. After 10 years writing and playing songs in The Bitter Sweethearts, James Ellis launched this new band at the end of 2016, which includes members of Big Smoke (Tim Baker, Luke Brennan, Joe Cope and Alex O'Gorman) and The Hello Morning (Steven Cliffhanger and Joe Cope). Relying heavily on traditional country instrumentation and arrangements, the music draws on the influence of Hank Williams, Ray Price, Waylon Jennings and more recent traditionalists such as Daniel Romano.
