Band Room // $10
Raised free range on the Darling Downs, (south east Queensland), cacao-dusted cottony folk singer Pepper Jane and her guitar, Maureen, have finally released their official debut single, 'Keys', September 21.
"In the beginning, the song happened really quickly. I seem to have developed a little sensory sensitivity over the years, and 'Keys' is about that crunchy, obnoxious noise keys make when you pick them up off the counter, in a dark, empty room", says Pepper. "And I guess I was missing someone."
Pepper is taking the track on a national tour to celebrate the release of 'Keys', 4 years in the making, starting in Hobart from October 16.
We are thrilled to announce Melbourne-based, NZ-bred indie popstar TAMMA joins the lineup, alongside Tasmanian folk singer Madelena.
TAMMA released her debut single 'Beat You Down', October 12, already added to rotation across commercial radio stations nationally, and Madelena was just announced on this year's Woodford Folk Festival program.
