The Bird Conference are a quintet exploring the depths of the jazz tradition through original composition and interpretation of standards. Pieces range from hard swinging numbers reminiscent of the Cannonball Adderley quintet, to highly arranged pieces exploring harmony and odd time grooves. The upcoming performance at the Wesley Anne will see the group paired down into a sax trio format. Join the group as they explore their own original repertoire and present interpretations of Sonny Rollins' classic 1950's recordings.
