Band Room // $10
Thomas E Flatman has been a part of the Melbourne music scene for the past 10 years, fronting the bands Durbeyfield and Flats and the Friendly Few.
His emotive songwriting and soaring vocals are enhanced on a backdrop of rich arrangements and his lyrics draw on experiences, storytelling and characters from unique facets of his life, including working in professions like mental health recovery centres and teaching.
This October he launches his debut solo album, “Homekeeper” at the Wesley Anne, Friday the 18th, with his band including Antonio Sanciolo and Jane Patterson on strings and Ben Fuller and Mark D’Angelo on keys and guitar. Support comes from the eclectic and engaging Melbourne producer and performer James Milsom.
