From the satirical and tongue-in-cheek to the heart-achingly tender, the music of Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel forms the inspiration for this brand new project, led by Melbourne jazz singer, Helen Catanchin. A lifelong appreciator of Paul Simon's beautiful compositions and the folk-rock duo's inimitable musical cohesion, Catanchin has arranged their most well-loved songs for this ensemble, made up of some of Melbourne's finest jazz musicians.
Joined by fellow jazz vocalist Olivia Chindamo, together the two singers bring the iconic duo's music to life, through their own unique storytelling and improvisatory styles. With Sam Lemann and Craig Fermanis (guitars), Philip Rex (double bass) and Hugh Harvey (drums).
