Dale 'Boadz' Boaden has roared onto the Melbourne blues scene over the last 2 years, playing shows to packed rooms throughout Victoria and earning a reputation as one of the most promising up-and-comers working today. Particularly well known for his tribute performance of the 'Complete Works of Robert Johnson', Boadz possesses a deep understanding of the history of the blues. Combined with the background of an accomplished jazz improviser, a sound has emerged that is rough and earthy yet sleek and sophisticated; contemporary while also deeply entrenched in tradition.
Boadz makes his solo debut at The Wesley Anne with a selection of old blues favourites from the likes of Blind Blake, Lonnie Johnson, Blind Willie Johnson, Mississippi John Hurt, Robert Johnson and more, as well as original music fresh from the woodshed.
