Award-winning cellist and singer-songwriter Monique Clare (The Maes) is previewing the songs from her upcoming album in Melbourne this March. Her music dances between rhythmic cello lines, powerfully vulnerable vocals and heart-tugging harmonies. Since breaking out as a solo artist in 2017, her song writing has become increasingly daring and potent, with hard-hitting lyrics and an unconventional brand of classical-folk-pop cello. She tours internationally as a member of The Maes, and has also worked with Kate Miller-Heidke, Katie Noonan, Darol Anger and Eminem. For this show only, she's joined by Isaac Gunnoo on double bass and Chris Lewis on drums.
