Ancient Animal Orchestra are thrilled to be releasing their new album, Shadow Stories, a collection of songs that journeys through stories of life-defining episodes that are joyful, tragic and reflective.

Ancient Animal Orchestra performs atmospheric folk and improvised soundscapes, for fans of Bon Iver, Sigur Ros, Björk and Grand Salvo. They released their debut album 'Retreat' in 2019, self-recorded improvised EP 'Fairhaven' in 2020, and returned with cathartic blues-folk single ‘Anniversary’ earlier in 2023.

Joining them on the night are Kelsey Jean and NoLess (solo). Kelsey Jean, as a folk singer/songwriter, rides the line between fantasy and reality - veering mostly into her own imagination to bring her ethereal, haunting and moody songs to life. The perfect music to walk through a misty forest or an empty beach, this music will make you feel at home.

NoLess is the brainchild of Melbourne based musician Aidan Ryan. The vulnerability of their songwriting and lyricism is centered throughout their works, offering a space for playful and open engagement with the many curveball experiences that life can throw at us. This is all expressed through interwoven soulful melodies drizzled on top of some solid groovy guitar playing.
