Friends and folk singer-songwriters Grand Baxter and Khristian Mizzi are coming together for a beautiful night of soul-baring and song singing at the incredible Wesley Anne, showing off some new songs and some old, joined by friends and collaborators.
~Grand Baxter~
Celebrating the October release of their single 'I Don't Want To Know,' Grand Baxter are taking to the road, bringing their delicately dark folk music across Australia in November and December 2022.
'I Don't Want To Know' is a delicate plea for silence in a loud and un-private world, with soft classical guitars the bed for subtle string and percussion. The song was recorded by Zac Barter (Didirri, Charm of Finches, Canary), and features Maddison Carter on drums, Isaac Gunnoo on bass, and Dylan Knur on strings.
Grand Baxter is the alt-folk brainchild of singer-songwriter Ben Langdon. Inspired by the highway ramble of Jackson Browne and the tormented whispers of Phoebe Bridgers, their music meets somewhere in the middle. With delicate words, familiar guitars and an intimacy true of their own style, Grand Baxters new music is given like a warm hug on a cold night. For this special show Grand Baxter will be in trio form, featuring Dylan Knur on violin and mandolin, and Jack Wiesler on electric guitar.
