Beth Winter is a singer- songwriter from Melbourne whose indie folk has strong roots in female celtic music and storytelling. Beth draws inspiration from her Black Irish family roots. Like the traditional Irish folk writer, her songs are raw, poetic, honest. She sings to express themes of love, life, melancholy and wonder.
Beth plays solo and with a fluid band which, at various times, has included a violinist, cello player, mandolin player, guitarist, trumpeter, banjo player and drummer. She draws influence from artists such as Sufjan Stevens, Bon Iver, Lisa Hannigan and Basia Bulat.
Beth released her second EP at Rolling Stock Recording studios, in July 2021.
