In 2003 Fiona Boyes became the first artist outside of North America to win the prestigious Memphis International Blues Challenge, changing her career forever.
21 years later, and Fiona is the undisputed queen of Australian blues.
She is the only Australian artist to be nominated for a Blues Foundation award with 4 nominations, and 2008 she won a US Blues Critics Award for best live album.

Just 2 years later in 2005, Melbourne guitar gun, Jimi Hocking, continued the Australian success and took out first place in the Challenge. In 2004 he was awarded the MBAS Blues Musician of the year, but his career began over a decade before. Jimi is a much loved and popular Australian musician , gaining rock n roll glory with rock band the Screaming Jets since joining in 1993.
He has seamlessly ventures from the Jets to his own projects, Jimi the Human, Spectre 7, Jimi Hockings Blues Machine as well as solo and collaborations.

Nearly 20 years would pass before an Australian would again have success in Memphis. This time it was Frank Sultana, representing the Sydney Blues Society who would win first place in Memphis in 2023.
Frank emerged on the east coast blues scene in 2011 and has released 10 albums and 4 EPs, touring here and overseas. 
On his return from Memphis, he took home 4 Sydney Blues Society Awards for Artist of the Year, Traditional Blues, Songwriter, and Artist Artist of the year. He followed that up this year when won the 2024 Songwriter award.

These will be intimate , acoustic shows with the artists sharing stories and performing songs from their vast collective catalogs of original music.
