Long-enamoured with all things Italian, this trio of friends decided there was nowhere near enough music from ‘the boot’ being played on Australian shores. To remedy this, they delved deep into the catalogues of Napoli folk, New York Italian Swing, Roman Operetta, and 60s musica leggera to mine the rich musical traditions that have brought joy to so many and for so long. The result is Dai, Ciccio!… a group that celebrates the people and places of Bella Italia, and the music that tells their story.
