Magnetic art-pop alchemist Georgia Fields celebrates the release of her new single “Holding My Hands Out” with a fireside matinee at The Wesley Anne on Sunday 10 July.
Performing solo with a sprinkling of surprise special guests, Georgia will share new songs from her forthcoming third album, plus some re-imagined favourites – offering in turns the piercing song-craft and warm onstage storytelling for which she is so well-loved. Support comes from indie wünderkind Amelia Allen.
“Holding My Hands Out” marks the latest insight into Georgia’s forthcoming third album, due November. A captivating display of lush melodics and searing vulnerability, the track sees Georgia and album producer Josh Barber (Gretta Ray; Gotye) experiment with found objects – crafting snare samples from vintage wind-up toys and wooden percussion. “Holding My Hands Out” also features Georgia’s string section the Andromeda String Quartet, cloaking the slow-burning tension with a dusky, ethereal warmth.
Meals are available to order from the Wesley Anne kitchen. Children can attend if accompanied by a responsible adult; under-12s are free.
