Rachel Caddy

  • Wesley Anne 250 High Street Northcote Hill , VIC, 3070 Australia (map)

Hailing from the Macedon Ranges of Victoria, Rachel’s music has been charming audiences since ‘Blue Sky Soda Stream’ introduced the artist to music fans in 2017. Releasing her debut EP Missing Screws in 2018, Caddy’s delicate yet powerful blend of Indie/Folk has been establishing her as an artist to watch in Melbourne’s thriving songwriter circles. Her 2020 Single ‘Trams’ is a glimpse into what is to come for the near future.

“Another example of why Caddy is being considered one of the finest singer songwriters on the Australian music scene today, ‘Trams’ is one of those songs that continues to grow on you, long after you’ve given it a listen as you find it worming its way back into your head and you start singing the words all over again." (Tone Deaf)

Songwriter Rachel Caddy’s sparse yet driving electric folk is in the same ballpark as fellow Melburnian Gretta Ray – music that gingerly but honestly invites you into someone else’s world in a big way, if only briefly." (Music Feeds)

Rachel completed her education in the Life Science’s before switching to a career in music and continues to draw on a strong curiosity for the natural world. The result is a uniquely vivid style of songwriting that draws not only from the outside world but that within. With unflinching honesty, Rachel explores the full power of these personal stories sonically. She is passionate about protecting the environment, something which is also infiltrating her music.
