Drongo is the solo project of Melbourne musician and sound artist Tom Sullivan.
Tom has been playing around Melbourne, toured nationally and internationally over the last 20 years in countless lineups and projects most notably grunge punk outfit Dozers.
Drongo explores a unique acoustic world through a dynamic use of instrumentation and experimental instrument building, arriving at a sound that is both intimate and raw. His intricate finger style guitar work and the vulnerability in his vocals define the intimacy of his solo shows. Known to play in variable lineups, Drongo will be performing a solo set at the Wesley Ann along side oldest and dearest, country troubadour, Bob Fox (Morgan Boal).
As a multi instrumentalist and stubborn diy'ist Tom writes, performs and records all his own material and is currently working on a new album to be released later this year. His EP 'Songs in Sonar' is set to be released in the coming months. The first single 'I'll be damned' can be heard at...
