Jane Cameron - Landlocked album launch

  • Wesley Anne 250 High Street Northcote, VIC, 3070 Australia (map)

Following her inaugural tour of NZ/Aotearoa earlier this year, appearances at the Melbourne Ukulele Festival, and a successful single launch at the Wesley Anne in May, Jane Cameron returns to the Wesley Anne to launch her long-awaited sophomore album, Landlocked, with support from Valley Road and Entwined.

Jane Cameron is a contemporary folk storyteller who blends folk, blues and jazz influences to create a sound that warms your bones. Telling stories to soothe your heart, Jane’s music draws comparisons with the likes of Natalie Merchant, Janis Ian, Margret Roadknight and more. Audience members have described Jane’s insight, warmth and compassion as ‘shining a light on how we connect and create meaning’.

After emerging from the chrysalis of pandemic lockdowns in Melbourne, Jane recorded Landlocked in 2022 with acclaimed record producer and engineer Myles Mumford.

Songs from the album are already gaining acclaim with Jane nominated as a Roddy Read Memorial Song Writing Award Finalist at the 2022 Maldon Folk Festival.

Valley Road are Troubadour Foundation Award winners Rebecca Howell and Marty McKenna from Central Victoria. Valley Road have been turning heads and capturing hearts with their delicately interwoven folk songs of people and places.

Entwined are Melbourne-based duo, Leo Kahans and Fi Mackay, who weave delectable grooves of evocative melodies and haunting harmonies, touching on indie soul Latin and electronica.
