Calor draws from music traditions around the world to bring you heartwarming songs sung in Portuguese, French, Spanish and English. Guitarist Noah James and vocalist Freda Paten have been long-time collaborators and friends, and will be bringing ideas back to Australia from their recent trips to Europe. The band focuses primarily on iconic Brazilian repertoire such as songs by Gilberto Gil and A.C Jobim, however, they also play other songs they find personally moving from around the world. They support each other with vocal harmonies and percussion to create diverse textures, grooves and weaving melodies.
