Christopher Rozakeas is an emergent trombonist and composer from Melbourne, Victoria. A sought-after instrumentalist in the local freelance space, he specialises in traditional and contemporary jazz styles. Picking up the trombone at 8 years old, Christopher has been refining his craft in the jazz idiom for over a decade, and has won various accolades, including the being the recipient of the Geoffrey Whitelaw Monash Brass scholarship, a two-time James Morrison scholarship finalist and winner of the Victorian All-State Jazz Outstanding soloist award. He’s collaborated with local and international jazz luminaries including Vince Jones, Kristin Berardi, Shannon Barnett and Ingrid Jensen. Christopher is currently studying jazz performance and science at Monash University.
