Josh Maynard and Malia Stirling are two Australian folk artists from opposite sides of the border.

Growing up in the Central West NSW, Josh has travelled with his music through the NSW region and South Australia. Whereas Malia, grew up on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, performing at venues across Queensland. Despite the 1000km difference, the two somehow found each otherand have come together to share their hearts and their stories. The unlikely pair share their journeys through emotive, captivating lyrics, soulful melodies and down to earth banter.

After the two met and spent a fortnight chasing waterfalls and exploring beaches along the East Coast in 2021, Malia and Josh felt an instant connection. After only 2years of taking the stage together, they have already supported the likes of Thirsty Merc, Vanessa Amorosi and Shane Howard, lead singer of Goanna. They support one another’s songs with sweet harmonies and intricate layers. The way they share the stage feels like being welcomed home to a cup of tea and a song to ease the worries of everyday living.
